Junichiro Koji<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Junichiro Koji is an Associate Professor at the Department of International and Regional Studies, Hokkaido University of Education (HUE) in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science with specialization of Canadian Studies (University of Ottawa). His current research focuses on immigration and diversity management policy and governance in small centers and rural areas in Canada and Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marc Y. Valade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Marc Y. Valade is an accomplished scholar with a Ph.D. in Policy Studies from (TMU) and MPA from ENAP. He is an Associate Researcher at the University of Western Ontario, contributing to the Pathways-to-Prosperity (P2P) and a member of the P2P Standing Committee on Northern and Rural Immigration. Dr. Valade\u2019s dissertation topic is on the policy capacity of smaller communities in immigration and settlement. His current research delves into the dynamics of French-speaking (im)migration within francophone minority communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/strong>Michelle Lam <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Michelle Lam is a faculty member in the Curriculum and Pedagogy Department at Brandon University and Director of the Centre for Applied Research and Education in Indigenous, Rural, and Remote settings (BU CARES). She is interested in community-based education, rurality, identity, and anti-racism. She specializes in collaborative research-creation and arts-based methodologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Rana Telfah, a Ph.D. graduate in rural studies from the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development at the University of Guelph, brings a unique perspective to her research. Her dissertation delves into the lives of Syrian families who settled in different-sized communities in Southwestern Ontario. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ray Silvius is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is the lead of the Migration in Remote and Rural Areas Network (MIRRA Network) and the Community Engaged Research on Immigration Network (CERI Network). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stacey Haugen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stacey Haugen is a Research Associate at the Prentice Institute for Global Population and Economy at the University of Lethbridge, in Alberta, Canada, and a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Alberta in the Political Science Department. Stacey\u2019s research expertise focuses on immigration to rural and smaller places in Canada, and her work has been funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Refugee Hub, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vadim Romashov is a postdoctoral researcher in ethnographic peace research, currently affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences, University of Eastern Finland. His research focuses on the dynamics of living together in rural communities and borderlands in the South Caucasus and Eastern Finland, war-related migration, peace and violence in everyday life, and peacebuilding interventions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
